    When We Grab Back

    When We Grab Back

I made these last week while listening to the news in the pottery studio. Originally I was feeling inspired by the imagery of PNW beach life and our baby octopi that can be found in the tiny streams feeding the ocean.

I was playing with the idea of “See The Good”/ Sea The Good...And then... while listening to the events unfold in DC and around the country, those slimy, crafty, sucky creatures that change colors to hunt and squeeze into the tiniest of cracks undetected continued to resonate as a metaphor for white nationalism and the curious actions of the capitol police, allowing entry to those who they should protect against.
