Large Flower Hamsa Earrings in Mystic Purple
The Hamsa, also known as the Khamsa, is a palm-shaped amulet popular throughout the Middle East, the Maghreb, and many religions and cultures around the world. When pointing down, the open hand is believed to offer prosperity and bestow blessings. When fingers are pointing up, it serves as the universal sign for “stop” and directs negativity away. The Hamsa often features an eye in the palm, to ward off jealousy, envy, and the evil eye. These hamsas, however, do not feature the eye, so others may get envious of your earrings.
Each piece of jewelry is one-of-a-kind, with small batches of similar styles crafted by hand using local clay. Our pottery studio is located on a century-old farmstead in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
